Company Mission
The revolutionary MyBolus™2.0 concept comes from co-founder of Maxi-Med, Jose Ribeiro, and his own personal struggles with diabetes. Jose was first diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes in March 1996 — just 10 years after tragically losing his beloved sister to the same disease. Jose battled with unstable blood sugar for more than three years before he began pump therapy in 1999. Even with pump therapy, Jose continued to experience difficulty in stabilizing his blood sugars because he found the traditional bolus method to be unreliable. Jose knew there should be a much easier, better way to manage his fluctuations in blood glucose and ensure better control.
